This is far too true. I find friends not checking sources of so-called news stories they post — and putting up fake news. I tell them about it, but who knows if they even know how to vet sources at all. And these crap sources are proliferating — we know some are from foreign countries or from white supremacists or some other nasty place. I feel like I’m dodging potholes and cracks in the sidewalk everywhere I go now.

Thanks for writing about this. I hope repairs can be done. Or Zuckerberg is looking at splitting up his domain. The money and our vulnerability did some very serious damage. Time for damage control.
