Tessa, I'm so happy for you to make this move! We've talked about it privately. I completely understand your having fear! I might worry if you felt no fear - but moving is a big deal, no matter how little you have. I say, good for you! You are moving to a first-world country - and certainly one I respect much more highly than I do mine (the blighted US)! I've only visited once - to Nuremberg, of all places, with my Jewish husband. People were friendly - except in line when they pushed (for ice cream!!)! On trains, it was wonderful. Europeans know so many languages. You will be welcomed. I've found in my travels, that if I just have some basic native terms down, I have been welcomed. I can't wait to hear stories from your travel and arrivals. Bonne chance! Good luck! Alles Gute!
