Solid article going over - well, basically how we grows as writers the more we write. Especially novelists. I wrote my first while I was sick as a dog - and that finally encompassed 11 years of my life! I'd never written what I considered very good fiction. But I had a couple good characters, locations intriguing - and besides it gave me something really fun to do at a very bleak time. Now, illness gone, transplant in place, and I want to tackle this again. With "perfection" in mind. I know that won't happen. But your article has given me more steam to plow ahead.
BTW, I looked up your book on Amazon, and one reviewer actually reprised the whole story - and it sounds excellent. I'm certainly intrigued! And actually, this story sounds very applicable to our situation in the US - and likely other countries worldwide. Appreciate your thoughts on rewriting - BUT I'd love to read the sequel! Is that in the works?
