Jason, you deserve a big HURRAH for all you’ve done for your life and your well-being over the past decade. And really, most of the work was done in just the past 5 years. That’s a blink in eternity. Such a short time to reach your epiphany and then stay with it, with a plan that is working so well for you. I feel personally proud of you!

I went through an 11-year physical illness that finally ended in an organ transplant (liver). I had a rare autoimmune disorder that landed me in the hospital so many times, I lost count. And a couple of “trying-real-hard-to-die” emergencies. It was eye-opening, to say the least.

But while I was sick, I turned into a full-time writer — something I didn’t even realize till after the transplant. I couldn’t teach college writing classes anymore, even online, so I did the second best thing. Write. Which had always been my first love. We never know where our path is leading us. Now post-surgery 3 years, I’m strategizing my writing career. Finally!

Cheers to you and a big thank you — I needed a boost of inspiration today, and you gave it to me. Keep writing!
