I’ve been in a lot of the nice kind of writing groups - fortunately. The one time I was “workshopped” by some guy with an MFA in hand - cured my desire to go to one of those programs. He totally missed the point of what I had written in a poem that was a “little edgy.” What a waste of time. I’m glad you moved past this experience - well once all your loans are paid. Just believe in YOU.
