I was told I had complex PTSD by my niece who also experienced it. My childhood was traumatic in so many ways, but I finally found THE right therapist who also had the great patience to wait till I was ready to reveal it. It was a great relief to unbind hidden memories. But then I went through a LONG illness ending in organ transplant. I got another diagnosis of medical PTSD - another form of more self-torture. This one is even harder to deal with. I hate myself sometimes for my out if control anger. And getting mental health care is even HARDER now in the US. Also medically bankrupt. Don’t get sick in the USA.
