I live on the bottom end of things here in America. I still have some friends in that rich-poor state. But I had the crappy luck of inheriting a dire liver disease just before I turned 60 ( no it wasn’t alcoholism). I was in and out of the hospital for 11 years, not working most of that time, just Disability I n the 12th year I got a transplant. All that time, all that cost? I’m now what’s called medically bankrupt. And 75 years old. Live on Soc Sec only. Try that on for size. At this point, lately I’ve been thinking I’d have been better off to have died along the way. But I’m stuck - and grateful to my organ donor - with a renewed life. The rich-poor can kiss my ass
