I grew up in a traumatized home, Umair. I was born in the baby boomer era, 1947. So I grew up in pain and ultimately denial of what was happening to me. I was QUITE fortunate to fight the right therapist who had the long period of time and patience to help me back to my human self, 8 years of listening, biofeedback, then finally my journaling for a full year. Before I could let go of my original denial of something very traumatic to me, that had changed the course of my life. Having experienced all that, I COMPLETELY understand what you have written here about the dehumanizing of America. And my family, turns out, was not unique. I can see it everywhere. Mostly I keep my mouth shut because my therapist granted me that kindness - to wait till I WAS READY to deal with the hardest stuff.

You are definitely triggering people when you write your truth. BUT DON'T STOP, PLEASE!!! You are kind and true, and all those qualities you named in your final paragraph. You are sharing this truth with Americans. Oh, and I believe dogs FIRST OF ALL. Little Snowy knew all along. But YOU did, too. Thank your brain for me, will you??? Thank you, Umair
