I am still figuring out suitable (or better for me) topics to write about on Medium. But I’ve never looked far, nor do I tend to write about something or some thing someone else has tackled. That’s just boring.

But on Medium there’s a popularity race that is, well, stated bluntly, based on how much money you can make. I want to make the money. But I don’t and never have cared about being popular. I actually have plenty of topics to write on. Stuff happens to me. Life happens all around me. What isn’t there to write about? I would be shocked to see someone had seemingly copied some stuff from a story I wrote. I would want to meet that person because we might have a lot in common.

I like Medium because it’s a community of writers. We need each other. Some are needier than others. Sometimes the biggest compliment we can get is when someone copies us. How does that go? Oh yeah, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. (I couldn’t find an author to make the attribution, but you all know it, right?)
