Good content equals good solid information, or a well-told story. It’s not about being “clever,” Tom. You need to raise your level of reading. Read books. Not just books by current gazillionaire “authors” (who, yes, use teams to write their stuff). Try out Franz Kafka and try to understand what he’s trying to tell the world. Leo Tolstoy is another one to read. Most very good writers swear by “Anna Karenina” as one of the best novels ever written; Tolstoy wrote that. And American authors like William Faulkner and John Steinbeck. My dear Tom, I love you to pieces for your enthusiasm, energy, for being willing to dive right in. But you’re missing out on learning writing from the great authors. Read Stephen King’s memoir “On Writing” and where he says that writers must read. All the time. Read authors much better than you. King isn’t clever about his writing. He writes 2,000 words a day, steadily, 7 days a week. Pick a real star and follow him/her.
