Good article, ending on the same note I recently read — do absolutely nothing. Since I started that, my anxiety around going to be has reduced a lot. I read about all the other stuff you mentioned (CBT-I) in Matthew Walker’s very popular book, “Why We Sleep.” It’s amazing how often I see that book referred to now! I like Dr. Perlis’ more down-to-earth to do nothing. I do read a little while, but never something ponderous or self-help-ish — only after deep breathing for a while doesn’t help. I trust what you write, Markham Heid. Thank you.
