I don’t need or ask for trigger warnings. Each person has their own trigger, if they have one. I got triggered reading “about” Lolita — after my memories were recovered from sexual assault by my brother when I was 9 years old. And they weren’t recovered until I’d gone through intense, but patient, therapy for several years. Writing was my ultimate healing and recovery, though.
